Tournament Results
Unusual weather greeted shooters for the annual 100 target simulated field championship with rain falling on the Saturday morning followed by still humidity, then Sunday saw strong gusty conditions and cold late afternoon breezes adding great diversity of conditions for shooters to overcome during competition shooting over the weekend.
The first round of 25 high tower, low tower, loopers and rabbits saw Jim Bolst and Max Rowney lead the field by 2 shots with 23/25 from Bill Bowran 21/25.
In the second round of 25 quail, incomers and crossing pairs, Jamie Shepperd 24/25 laid the bare with an almost perfect round, followed by Jim Bolst 20/25 completing a good first day the lead the championship with 43/50, from Jamie 42/50 and Max 41/50.
Round three, Sunday, and gusty conditions that caused clays to loop in all directions, however Matt Cole 20/25 made the best of the conditions followed closely by Jamie, Gary Fitzpatrick and Dave Bott 19/25.
In the final round, set with a difficult slider on the crossing pair,Jamie 20/25 withstood the pressure and led from the front, one shot clear from Dave 19/25 and Les Mainwaring 18/25.

- Winner on Handicap – Stuart Perry 102/100
- Winner AA Grade – Jamie Shepperd 81/100
- Winner A Grade – Les Mainwaring 71/100
- Winner B Grade (on countback) – Jim Bolst 75/100
- Winner C Grade – Stuart Perry 66/100
